What we do

Poolside Studio was founded in 2017 by producer Xavier De Clercq, based in Ghent. We provide all audio-engineering services with a focus on the creative aspect of music production. Do you suffer from a stubborn writer's block? Are your tracks missing a tad of magic? Does your song need a facelift? Are you in need of second opinion or do you just feel like having a musical chat? Xavier De Clercq (°1990, Ghent) is a producer, mixing engineer & musician. Since 2004 he’s been playing live with numerous bands. After completing his master’s degree in Music Production (with Staf Verbeeck as a mentor) at the Ghent Conservatory he worked with various artists in diverse musical genres: Noémie Wolfs, Yong Yello, Billie Leyers, Dirk Blanchart, Faces On Tv, FFA, Pascal Deweze, Buurman, Caspar Auwerkerken, Sleepers' Reign, Aili & Transistorcake, Lagüna & many other live-acts.

​As a live musician Xavier performed at established venues such as Ancienne Belgique, Lotto Arena, Botanique,… and has played festivals like SXSW (Texas), Oppikoppi (South-Africa), Pukkelpop, Into The Great Wide Open, Grasnapolsky, and many more. 

On the road you can find him as FOH mixer with: Cloudy-Oh, Senne Guns, Aili, Cesar Quinn, Bat Eyes, Fortress, Plush Baby, Ottla (Bert Dockx) & Porcelain id.
